Dear T and W,
In honor of your daughters’ adoption, I dedicated an episode of my own blog (which has about 250 regular readers that I know of) to why you should be a foster parent. I took most of my information from various episodes of your podcast, and featured your “Our Kids Dress Themselves” video as well. I hope you like it.

Congratulations on the adoption! It has been quite interesting to follow your story from the beginning (Even if I only did start a few months ago…) It’ll be interesting to see what you have to say about the post-adoption stuff from now on.

Congratulations 100 times over! We are about 1 step behind you in our current adoption journey, and hope to be signing and finalizing very soon. Your insightful information has helped us,as you walk us thru the court room, what to bring, what we will sign, everything we need to know. I’m so glad you decided to continue your podcast, I was a little nervous when you were toying with the idea of stopping! We are also a fellow Olive Crest certified family, and can’t say enough wonderful words about them, they are truly great. Again, so happy for your family, it has made us look forward to our own “Adoption Day” even more now, if that’s possible….

Happy Adoption Day T, W, “Andrea” and “Linda”!!
It’s been a long road for all of you…worth every easy and hard step! I’ve been listening and cheering you on for months and was thrilled to see your podcast titled “Adoption Day!” Joyful, joyful congratulations.
Ah, if only there was more decent adoption related music, you could’ve done a true adoption jam session. Fortunately, the video of your beautiful daughters in their cute outfits is way better than any old adoption jam podcast!
Our family was created through adoption & I find your podcast to be informative and honest. You’re a family first and foremost & you love & support each other for always & ever amen.
P.S. Thank you for continuing your podcast! You are impacting more hearts and minds than you know. Bless you & your daughters!

I just wanted to congratulations! My husband and I are also foster parents and have been able to adopt two beautiful baby boys since the start of our journey.
I don’t believe there any words more beautiful than “your adoption is granted.” It is truly an amazing experience. You all talking about crying… I so can relate to that. We have some VERY unattractive pictures of me crying all through both of our adoptions. It is just so emotional… the release of all the months of waiting. FAITH is what got us through, but that sweet release of knowing NO one is ever going to come to the door to take your babies. That is just the best!
Congrats again!

Just wanted to say I’m still enjoying your podcasts! Life never stops and I’m sure you’ll have lots of stories to share with us.
I wrote to you previously about our Sparkle and wanted to give an update. It took 3 court dates/tries to get our open adoption signed, but it was done today. We’re waiting for the paperwork to arrive in front of us. We had to give up some things, but overall, we think the agreement will work (hopefully-without a lot of drama). We’re so excited and Sparkle couldn’t believe they had actually signed. She had begged them to let her go (how sad is THAT? A child asking their parents to let go and let her be happy).
But we’re hoping to finalize in the next couple of months (or National Adoption Day).
A lot of the reason why we didn’t disrupt when things got bad was because of the reassurance I got from listening to your trials and tribulations in your own adoption journey! Never underestimate how much comfort simple words like yours are to us still making the journey!
Thank you!

Congrats to you all! I have an adoption question I bet you (or your listeners) can help with. We are currently fostering a 14 month old boy who is up for adoption. The agency is in the process of finding potential adoptive parents for him. I know you guys did fost-adopt, but my questions is- imagine if you were the potential adoptive parents- what could we, as the foster family, do to make things better for you and the child, to help you get to know our foster kid better, etc? In other words, if you had been adoptive parents and not fost-adopt parents, what would your ideal foster parents have done to help you and child through the process? We have never done this before, and we want to do it right for everyone’s sake. Thanks so much for any advice you or the listeners have have.
