We’ve completed our first week of placement with Andrea and Linda. We had lots of appointments and set up lots of different services for the girls.

Tim, wendy,
great job. Hang in there. It might get worse before it gets better. But the more attached they get the more the tantrums might go away. (at least I can hope!!)

Oh, Wendy, everybody’s kids do that! Even kids who do not have “history”.
My daughter went through a “Stop hurting me!!!” phase.
My MIL tells a story over and over again about how her oldest son screamed “You’re breaking my bones!” right in the middle of Sunday Mass.
It’s embarrassing, of course, and I don’t mean you shouldn’t discipline the girls if necessary, but you can put the worry that other people are judging you right out of your head. Nobody thinks you’re a bad mom when that happens and nobody is going to call the authorities because everybody’s kids do that.
Call me anytime,
Elizabeth

Really enjoyed listening to this. Chris and I listened to it together tonight - it was just like you were sitting here with us. Except that you were hogging all the conversation. haha I’ve heard too about the importance of the daddy making the daughters feel beautiful. Really interesting.

Elizabeth,
That is classic. “You’re breaking my bones!” at church beats “Owie owie owie” at Target any day of the week. I feel so much better. Thanks.
Wendy
